What do I get when I purchase carbon credits from EarthPreserver? |
|
- Your account is credited, with verified CFIs (Carbon Financial Instruments), within 14 days, for the amount of carbon credits you purchased through EarthPreserver.
- You will receive an email verifying your purchase.
- Should your purchase be for over 3 tons (most are) you will receive a personalized certificate, suitable for framing, with your account number and details of your purchase thereon. (

I operate a small business. How can I offset my business's carbon emissions? |
|
| Small business owners can offset their business emissions with EarthPreserver by using our home square foot calculations to match their offices and other buildings and our vehicle calculations to match their vehicles. At time of purchasing the offsets, please note in the comments section that you are offsetting your business's emissions, the business name, address and
email. If we have questions, we will email you. |

Is EarthPreserver non profit? |
|
| No. For many reasons, we decided that a for profit entity makes more sense. One reason is that our business model , in order to do the most good in combating global warming, pollution, and the need for ever larger amounts of fossil fuels, dictates the need to possibly access capital markets in the future. This is a much easier task if done as a for profit entity. |

Does it make a difference which country I reside in when purchasing carbon credits? |
|
| None whatsoever, our sales are denominated in U.S. Dollars, and converted at time of purchase from the currency of the country in which you reside. |

I do a lot to conserve, but I know that I am still not carbon balanced, tell me exactly how you can balance my life. |

Many of us work hard to cut our CO2 emissions and "balance our lives" ecologically. There is, however, usually a point at which we can go no further and it is very difficult or impossible to make further changes. EarthPreserver makes it possible to reach the point where our lives are completely "balanced".
Here is how it works: When CO2 offsets are purchased through EarthPreserver, verified CO2 reductions made by others, usually companies or organizations, are purchased through trades on the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) by EarthPreserver and credited to the account of the purchaser. This accomplishes two things
immediately. First, the purchases provide liquidity to the carbon reduction market which in turn provides others with the incentive to cut or further cut their emissions because they are financially rewarded for doing so.
Second, when the offsets are purchased through EarthPreserver, the purchaser is guaranteed that the credits (carbon reductions) purchased through CCX have already been made. |
