Chicago Climate Exchange
Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) is the world's first and North America's only legally binding rules-based greenhouse gas emissions allowance trading system, as well as the world's only global system for emissions trading based on all six greenhouse gases.
CCX Members are leaders in greenhouse gas (GHG) management and represent all sectors of the global economy, as well as public sector innovators. GHG emission reductions achieved through CCX are the only reductions in North America being made through a legally binding compliance regime, providing independent third party verification by NASD and price transparency. The founder, Chairman and CEO of CCX is economist and financial innovator Dr. Richard L. Sandor, who was named a Hero of the Planet by Time magazine for his founding of CCX.
CCX emitting Members make a voluntary but legally binding commitment to meet annual GHG emission reduction targets. Those who reduce below the targets have surplus allowances to sell or bank; those who emit above the targets comply by purchasing CCX Carbon Financial Instrument® (CFI™) contracts. ----www.chicagoclimateexchange.com

Created by EarthPreserver.com, the EarthPreserver Public Partnership Project, (EP4) strives to entice Cities and other Governmental entities and their employees to drastically cut their emissions or, in the alternative, at least balance their emissions through carbon offsets by becoming EarthPreservers. CUTTING EMISSIONS: This enticement is in the form of EarthPreserver grants that will be used to purchase low carbon output vehicles to replace older gas guzzling vehicles for the Governmental entity. Imagine the difference it would make if your City just replaced official cars used in City Government to drive around town with low carbon output vehicles. CITY BALANCE: This part of the EP4 allows Governmental Agencies to purchase carbon offsets through EarthPreserver.com at a discounted rate, as long as the entity makes the purchase part of its annual budget. There are Cities across the country that are already doing this, and we can help your local or State government do this as well.
